Categories of Vehicle Damage
If your car has been damaged, we will help you to scrap it. Below is a rough guide as to how damage is categorised.
Category A
These cars are generally damaged beyond recognition such as burnt out cars.
Category B
These cars are damaged but still have some good parts that can be taken as spares prior to the car being crushed. They are not allowed to be repaired.
Category C
These vehicles are damaged to the extent that the cost of the repairs would exceed the value of the cars. Category C cars also need a Vehicle Identity Check to help prevent criminals from putting stolen parts onto these cars or passing off stolen cars as Category C cars.
Category D
These damaged cars can be repaired for a reasonable cost but many people will still choose to scrap this vehicle.
We provide a friendly and legal service as all of our scrap car collectors in BS22 are licensed Waste Carriers so can legally perform car recycling. We also try to be as eco-friendly as possible when scrapping the vehicles and try to reuse as much of the scrap car as possible, sending as little as possible to landfills.
